Ghee podi idlis

Turn leftover idlis into a quick and flavorful South Indian snack with this easy Ghee Podi Idli recipe. Soft idli pieces are sautéed in aromatic ghee and coated with spicy podi masala, giving them a deliciously crispy and buttery taste. Perfect for breakfast, tea-time, or lunchbox meals.

Ingredients

5 leftover idlis
2 tbsp ghee
2–3 tbsp idli podi (gunpowder chutney).Here Ihave used Urban platter Tamarind podi
Salt if needed
1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
Curry leaves for garnish

Instructions

Cut the leftover idlis into bite-sized cubes.
Heat ghee in a pan. Sprinkle idli podi. Add curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds.
Add the idli pieces and roast on medium flame until slightly crisp and golden.
Mix gently so all pieces are coated evenly.
Add a little sesame oil if desired for extra flavor.
Serve hot with coconut chutney or curd.
